"Nothing to say" moments?

I am very interested in a friend I met recently. Often we have stuff to talk about because we have a lot in common and quite a bit of chemistry..but sometimes we're stuck in these awkward "nothing to say" moments and it makes me feel boring or worried that he feels I'm not interesting. Do guys expect a girl to be able to converse all the time (not obnoxiously chit-chatty, of course) or do they understand that there's just nothing to say at the time?

Answers:

1. It makes me sad when my girlfriend doesn't have anything to say because I know she's always thinking something, but she just won't say it.

2. its a 2-way street...do you expect him to be able to converse all the time?

3. it's very normal not to have anything to say sometimes, but enjoying each other's company and looking into each other's eyes. people often worry too much about those awkward moments, but when you try too hard, it will seem even more awkward to other person. just be comfortable. if you have something to say, say it, if not, just enjoy the silence. no one wants to be with someone who is non-stop. ask open end questions, something that doesn't require just a yes or no answer. smile when you don't talk.
