my sister is getting married and there is no wedding party. the wedding is where they live and most people have to travel to get there. any suggestions for bridal showers in the Daytona Beach Area?

1. Sounds like you could use a wedding planner. Some of them will plan the shower too. That would be so much easier.
2. Could it be possible to have the shower where most of the guests are and have her come for a weekend visit?
3. instead of having a "shower" have a dinner the night before after rehersal. (Most guests won't travel twice due to the cost.) You can still have the silly games and fun prizes, just make it for the bride & groom and help the families get to know each other better.
4. recently i was in a wedding where the bride's friends were ALL out of town until two days before the wedding. what we did was...the afternoon before her wedding, we went to a really nice tea garden with all of the women (bridesmaids, family, close friends, grooms mother/sisters, etc..) and there we gave her the gifts that would normally be given for that.
it was nice because she didn't have to miss out on the experience, and all of the ladies she would want to be there, were able to attend because it was the day before the wedding. it was easy because the only thing involved was choosing a nice setting....the restaurant did the rest.
