Why are some people more confident than others? What makes you shy?

12. I think some of it just has to do with your jeans. Some very little children are shy while others would just talk with everyone. But at the same time, confidence is something that we have to develop. We need to learn social skills, and a lot of it is in how we were raised. I am sure it is a proven fact that children who are told that they are worthless or can't do anything right suffer from low self esteem. Whereas a child who is praised is more confident.
