what can i do to find common ground with this girl? she is in 8th grade and i'm a sophmore, so the problem is clear. what common ground is between us, and what are good things to talk about?

alright secondly, shes 14 and im 15, besides the label of 8th grader theres nothing but roughly 2 years between us. we've already talked about it and she's definetly mature enough, so i'd appreciate if people stopped judging and criticizing me and gave me advice.

You can have all the common ground you want but that isn't just everything. If all you want is to ask her out, just get some nice argument to start your conversation (keep in interesting), don't look at her, act as if you were not interested in her, let her become interested on you. It's simple, twist it.
