all of my friends think i am really boring i guess, or immautre or something. they say i act like a 50 year old just because i said i will never drink or do drugs in high school. they also think that just because i do not wear makeup and try to impress guys all the time i will never get a boyfriend. i feel sad i am growing apart from them because they have changed so much. we are 14. yesterday my best friend said to me "the day you get a date to the dance is the day you light a joint." this made me really sad, i think she thought it was funny, but i dont. just because i dont care about the same things as most people, because i AM more mature, doesnt mean i wont get a boyfriend, right? but it is really hard to find someone in my school who DOESNT drink and stuff, so i do think it would be hard to get a boyfriend i actually like :[ what should i do?? sorry if this is confusing

1. thats so mean, ditch your friends if they act like that again. you arent a wet blanket! im a virgin and ive never smoked or drank at 15 and im proud of it. anyone who tries to make you drink to be cool is full of it.
2. leave them if their not treating you the way they should their not your friends
3. you'll find better people. and they will end up fat and ugly
4. dont listen to them, theyre just stuck-up preps! dont listen! if u did drugs, that would end u! and that will end them, so let them ruin their lives as u keep urself away from that. just, dont listen, if u do drugs and such cuz u want to prove 2 them, that will ruin u 4 life even if u did "just once"
5. DO NOT feel forced to do anything you do not want to. You can get into afterschool clubs or sports and get friends there. I would ditch them for even considering asking me to take drugs or alcohal. Trust me, 10 years from now it won't seem so cool, and you aren't going to feel good about doing it. And one day when you have kids, im sure you would expect them to stay away from teens who do drugs.
6. tell them to suck it, and just to let you know...you'll be asked to baby-sit their kids when they take their SATs....
you're fine. you are 14! you shouldn't be thinking about drugs or drinking, or even boys! they will be drugged-out, alcoholic teen mothers. find some new friends, these ones are crap.
7. You are normal. The kids in your school have nothing better to do than do drugs and drink. They are just pressuring you to make themselves feel better about doing stupid things. Don't fall into that. And don't date anyone unless you like them. Its a waste of time, and if you have sex with them, you may end up pregnant with their child.
8. 'they are actually not friends in the true sense of the word. U are doing well and behaving as u should. SunDance is right, ditch those ppol who try to destroy ur good values.
9. That is really immature of your "friends" Make new friends. You don't deserve this. I will be 17 in a month, yet I am a virgin, don't skoke or drink, and I don't wear makeup either. I have also found a guy who I am seeing who agrees with the same stuff I do. I think that there are guys in your school that are like you and would love to date you. Just give it time and they will start coming around, your only 14 and you have the rest of highschool:)
10. in high school people will try to pressure you to do stupid things, but you have to be yourself and don't let them get to you. so what if you aren't miss popular, who cares if you don't have a date to the dance. you are in high school, i know it does not seem like it now, but your life will include many more experiences and many more chances to meet a boy. so don't stress, relax, be yourself and people will respect you for it in the long run. trust me all that partying they are doing now will come back to bite them in the ***.
good luck kid.
11. If you were my daughter and I found out you were associating with people like that, I'd have to tell you to move along and make some new friends! No drinking until you're 21, and no smoking of anything! Tabacco or otherwise!
You'll be fine despite what those idiots tell you. I didn't start drinking until I was 29, and I smoked one cigarette in my entire life! One was enough for me...and I only took one drag!
