I like my BFF's older brother, A LOTT, I've posted several other questions about me& him, and tonight I was talking about him with my mom and she went all "I dont think its a good idea, It would ruin you and your BFF's friendship," etc. on me I told her "w/e If he asks me out im saying yes" and she got kinda mad. Idk what to do, my BFF says shes okay with my liking him and i KNOW if we went out it wouldn't end as badly as everyones expecting it to!! and I just do not know what to do!! Should I listen to my mom?? but I really love this guyy... but he hasnt even asked me out... WHAT DO I DO?!?!??!?!? help please?!
[[for more info about me& the guy look at my other q's. I only ask questions about himmm =)]]
Answers:
1. Your mom is right. It CAN ruin your friendship with your BFF.
2. i dont think you can really say you know how your "relationship" will end. and it could very very easily mess up your friendship with this friend of yours. its a thin line. you cant put him before your friend and you cant expect her to choose sides if theres ever any sticky situations or arguments. i think that your mom (who btw always has YOUR best interests at heart) is saying no, maybe you should listen to her, shes not saying it for her own health ya know.
3. Your mom is looking at this like it's going to lead to grandkids. That's her job; to look out for you and look for what could go wrong. It's up to you to make SURE that her fears are groundless. Time to step up and realize that if you're going to play adult games (like having sex) then you need to act like an adult...play time is over, time to get serious.
It sure looks from here like you're going to get busy with this guy no matter what. That's cool, but use a condom EVERY time. And do everyone a favor and get a backup birth control plan in place now, before you think you need it...get the depo-provera (DP) shot TOMORROW, or get regular birth control pills and take them every morning. Use condoms for disease protection (you really don't know where any man's been or who those folks have been with...) and as your primary birth control, but remember that condoms do occassionally break or leak and avoiding pregnancy is too important to not have a backup plan.
