I am a guy. This women, who is engaged to be married, calls me on the phone all the time. She just wants to gossip. Why would she get me mixed up with one of her gal-pals? I use less than 40 minutes a month on the phone, mostly for directions or to call up restaurants for reservations. Why would she think I would want to gossip, or that I cared where Suzy-Q was living in California when I haven't spoken to her in years?

1. Why don't you ask her why she has taken a sudden interest in gossiping with you? She could want a male point of view on things, but if you aren't interested in listening and joining in on the conversation then I would let her know.
