Thinking of doing navy blue, but worried it may be too much blue.... any pictures would be very helpful!!
Answers:
1. mix it up with a lighter colored sash and light flowers, silver or gold shoes
2. How about navy & gold?
3. Navy and Silver, Gold, White/Ivory are all classic combinations - I particularly like Navy with White and Silver - coordinated by something like light blue hydrangea flowers / accents. Good luck!
4. I wouldn't do navy blue - the blues are not going to match and will 'fight' each other. I would think a soft gold would compliment it well:

or silver:

If you want to stick with a blue scheme:

5. Ooh...I'm using blue dresses, too! Pretty!
I'm a little unclear as to whether you want to use light blue dresses with navy blue or whether you are using navy blue dresses and want another color, but here are some ideas:
Navy blue with gold (for autumn)
Navy or ice blue with silver (for winter)
Navy blue and white (for a nautical feel)
Sky blue with silver and white (for spring or summer)
Sky blue with multicolored wildflowers (for summer)
Light blue with apple green (http://weddings.theknot.com/odb/themes/r...
Light blue with orange (complimentary colors -- very pretty!)
Edit: Oh, I get it... it's a military thing. Silly me.
In that case, I would go with monochromatic blues (with bridesmaids in light blue, bouquets of mixed blues with whites). Or, you could use red and white as your wedding colors for a very traditional, classy look. Just forgo the blues elsewhere so as not to look too Americana. Or, you could use a soft yellow for bridesmaid dresses and flowers -- if your bridesmaids look good in yellow, that is.
Good luck and congratulations!
6. That's a hard one, we were going to have my fiances' best man wear is dress blues but I felt it would have looked out of place. In my opinion a pale color would work nothing dark, I wouldn't do navy for the girls think about how that would look in pictures, all navy blue.
7. Yellow is so beautiful with blue.
8. Silver or light tan/beige would be nice. I think silver especially, because then you could accent with navy sashes or ribbons. For flowers, I think the classic red roses would look the best.
9. bride should go a powder blue with silver or gold shoes etc
the bridesmaids should go navy blue
go for black shoes for the bridemaids
flowers can be different shades of pinks with cream or white
you can never have too much blue!!
just make sure the shades do not clash but rather compliment each other.
carry the silver or gold & blue theme to the table settings & grooms mens ties & vests
check out the links below for ideas on choosing colours, hope they help!
good luck i'm sure it will be beautiful.
10. A soft yellow, coral, or peach would be lovely with the uniforms. So would a soft grey.
I think pastel pink would also be really nice but I suspect nobody really wants bridesmaids in pink these days.
Good luck. Your pictures will be a delight!
11. don't try to match the blue... try to complement it.
Many of the above suggestions are GREAT!
Congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals, and "SEMPER FI" to the groom!
12. Military uniforms are considered to be neutral, so any color you want will work.
13. no I love the navy blue idea, what time of year is your wedding? Also I love the way white and yellow stands out against navy.
14. I would go with red. A bit patriotic, but striking in the pictures.
