What do people mean by "cockyness?"
Is it like confidence?
Could somone give me an example of somone being cocky?

4. Cockyness is when someone thinks TOO highly of themselves. Like when a person says "I'm so beautiful/handsome!" etc.
5. cockyness is overconfidence. In volleyball, if we are about to play a not-so-good team, we always say confidence not cocky. So its like saying "OK guys we can do this we can win!" but cockyness is like "Theyre a horrible team we can beat them any day without even trying!"
6. confidence is good to have. it is like the bealive in yourself. is like self esteme. you like yourself
but cockiness is just an exagerated version os loooving yourself, talking about yourself and complimenting yourself all the time, talking about what you have. it is annoyng, no one cares and now one ants to hear it anymore because you talk about it all the time
if you are confident you dont need to talk about how hot you are or how much money you have because you already know that and it satisfies you. you feel good about yourself
7. If someone is being cocky, they are being arrogant, overconfident and egotistical. Confidence is one thing... Girls like guys who are comfortable in their own skin, but not so much when those guys think they are God's gift to women.
