Why ruin a good relationship that can last a lifetime for a bad one that will probably only last a month. The two of you are best friends which means you're similar, so what she hates is what you'll hate...even if you are in denial!!! Don't even waste another minute of thought on it. He will do you dirty because of who you are and to spite her. She may be your best friend but are you hers?
