My sister and i got in a really nasty arguement today. She blocked the door so i couldnt go to my room so i pushed her out of the way and she punched me twice in the face. What should i do?? file a report? restraining order? i dont feel safe living with her anymore...HELP!!!!

9. Talk to your parents, (if your living with them). Tell them what's going on and ask for help from them. Physical violence from siblings is unacceptable, you need to feel like you can be safe and secure. Especially in your own household, come on! However, if your just living with your sister, then I would get out for a while. Don't get legal yet, just try to see if distance between you two for a while will help simmer down the tension. But if you return and it goes back to what it was or worse, then by all means, take legal action. Abuse can come in many ways and your sister's showing huge abusive potential.
10. How old are you? Are you old enough to move out? If you are of age to move out, then go and get your own private place. If not, and you are living with Mom and Dad then there is not much you can do. You can though advice your parents what has been going on between you and your sister. Tell them what you told here, that your sister blocked your door and you could not enter, that you pushed her out of the way and she punched you twice in the face. You parents will have some solution for the two of you, once they find what this nasty argument was all about.
If you and you sister argue a lot, maybe it is time for both of you to grow up and try to live in a peaceful environment, after all if you are going to be living in the same house you might as well live as a family should.. in peace and harmony.
About the restraining order and filing a report, I don't think so. You are family after all, try to work it out .. call on your parents for help...

12. what on earth were you fighting about? I'd suggest sitting down and having a good talk, perhaps with a trusted friend present, and try to work through some obvious issues that you're having. Perhaps its better if you do live apart, as familiarity breeds contempt..... you could write down your feelings, and ask her to write down hers. I don't think filing reports and restraining orders are going to help your relationship too much....
13. what's wrong with everyone? a fight and a couple of slaps and they want you to run to the police. first, change your living conditions. if not, lay down some rules of behaviour - if she hits you then she will be hurt too, maybe she wants you to retaliate so SHE can call the police - people are really devious sometimes. if you are living in the family home, sell it thru legal means, if you have parents around, don't terrorise them with your fights, both of you get out. i think your hatred has deep roots. it is bad for your health, be an adult about it.
