I should probably ask this as a poll question. But I am going to ask it here. How many people are in a interracial marriage? And how many people out there still have a problem with interracial marriages?
And just so everyone knows upfront. My marriage is interracial and I am just curious about other peoples view points
Answers:
1. What is this race you speak of?
2. I am in a interracial marriage.
3. Don't do it......
4. Mines not - but if you find someone you are compatible with and you love each other - then good for you :)
5. Not for me but if you are happy best wishes.
6. I'm not married but in an interracial relationship.
7. i am white and my husband is spanish. this is interracial and I never see it that way.
I think a lot of people are not for those marriages but with specific races it seems ;(
8. my neighbors are interracial, no problem to me. she white he black
9. Since there are not really more than one race of man it is a moot point.
Now, inter-religious marriages, I think that is just asking for a divorce.
10. Im not in a interracial marriage but no problem w/ it and interracial babies are the cutest!!!
11. Yes and I have no problem with it.
Brings the world together!
12. i was in an interracial marriage but we have divorce. it wasn't because of the color of our skin but for other reasons. i do not have a problem with it at all. i think it is great. currently i am dating a white guy and i am black. i dont even see color anymore, however, there are still many people that are not happy to see interracial marriages or couples. i have my experience of stares, comments, and rudeness.
13. Not in one, and only had issues back when OJ married Nicole, I knew something would happen, otherwise I love all my friends and their spouses regardless of what color anyone is. p.s. OJ was set up, big time.
14. I don't have a problem with it one way or another. My mum always taught us that the colour of ones skin is just that. A colour. Its whats in the inside that counts.
15. I don't think there is ANYTHING wrong with interracial marriages. in fact i think they are to be commended. they are no different from any other marriage; i dont understand why some people have a problem with people of different races. blacks/whites/hispanics etc. are no different from each other.
we are all people.
and thats what matters.
16. love is love, between a man and a women. what does race have to do we are all the same in Gods eyes
17. been married to a filipina only problem her friends wont speak english near me
18. I'm Scottish, my first wife was Japanese, people sometimes ask how that worked, only answer I ever give is, "the exact same as it would have if she were Scottish or I was Japanese."
19. I don't know that I have a problem with it.
Do I think it's right? There really isn't any right or wrong about interracial marriage - I don't even think it qualifies as an issue anymore.
I could be wrong. It's happened before.
20. I have always been okay with interracial marriages. Love is love and you should be able to marry the one you love.
I was raised not be prejudiced against anyone.
I'm sure I would have married someone of another race had I met someone.
21. Marry whomever you love.
22. I am Persian and Black ( My parents didn't get along very well.) It is what you feel for the person; Not what you think. Anyway, even if it doesn't work, You will have beautiful children!!!!
23. I have step daughter and also my brother had an interracial relationship. I have loved the sister in law dearly for 30 yrs.
I live in the deep south and have never a problem. 4 of my 5 children thinks it is love that counts. You do not judge a man by the color of his skin but rather the content of his character. We see quite a bit of of variety in color and nationality in Florida.
24. Love is love and if you are lucky enough to find true love with someone of a different race, pursue the relationship and date. If it leads to marriage, you are truly blessed.
You will have to develop a tough resistance to those who are not willing to accept interacial marraiges.
25. Only thing that might be wrong is if they have kids, they might be teased by other kids as they grow up.
26. I have no problem with interracial marriage.
I have known white guys married to black women; white women married to black men; white women married to Asian men; white men married to Asian women, etc.
27. In a relationship, not marriage.
You are a trailblazer my friend and unfortunately you will catch some static, more stress than "normal" relationships, but less than someone would have 20 years ago. Hang in there and ingnore the haters.
We do have the most beautiful daughter.
28. I am not married yet but i can speak for my brothers. My brother Joe is white and his wife teresa is black :) My brother Toms wife Carol is fillipino:) and my brother Adams fiance Sachiko is Japanese. And my other two brothers married czech ladies i know thats not interracial though. So my family definately doesn't have a problem with it and whoever does should get over it!
29. I like ALL races!! No problems here!
I REALLY like me a nice caramel man with a shaved head!!
Give me that double scoop of chocolate anytime!!!
Nothing wrong with a little whip cream for some hot chocolate!! MUAH
30. I will be in an interracial marriage starting November 4. We never had a problem with our race - at least not to our faces. It probably has to do with living in a large city where interracial relationships are common. Where I work alone, there are three different people who are in interracial marriages.
