Is it possible to love other people but hate yourself?

1. It's not possible for me.

2. I believe you can certainly love other people and not love yourself. I think you'd be a better father and husband if you got some therapy and figured out why you don't love yourself.

4. I love my husand and child, they are also the reason im still here but myself (gees most days I can't stand myself) no I don't love myself. So maybe all those who say that are wrong lol!

5. You need to learn to love yourself. In order for you to love someone yes you have to love yourself. God made all of us. You need to go to the doctor and see why you feel this way about yourself. You could be struggling with depression. There must be something special about you if you have a loving wife and children. You need to not be so hard on yourself and love yourself the way that you are for you and your families sake. Take care of yourself and seek professional help.

6. I agree with you. I love my family with all my heart, but don't love myself. Our family would be so much better if we can learn to love and respect ourselves. So many bad traits come out when you don't love yourself (which I am starting to learn about myself), jealousy, insecurities, doubts... Sounds like you are a kind man. Your family is going to love you unconditionally. You need to do the same for yourself.

7. Yes you can love someone else and not love yourself, but for me it just doesn't work. I really feel that me not loving myself contributed to my marriage ending. So I think whoever made that saying didn't know what they were talking about.
