Cherish is the word I use to describe
All the feeling that I have hiding here for you inside
You don't know how many times I've wished that I had told you
You don't know how many times I've wished that I could hold you
You don't know how many times I've wished that I could
Mold you into someone who could
Cherish me as much as I cherish you
Oh I'm beginning to think that man has never found
The words that could make you want me
That have the right amount of letters, just the right sound
That could make you hear, make you see
That you are drivin' me out of my mind
Oh I could say I need you but then you'd realize
That I want you just like a thousand other guys
Who'd say they loved you With all the rest of their lies
When all they wanted was to touch your face, your hands
And gaze into your eyes
Perish is the word that more than applies
To the hope in my heart each time I realize
That I am not gonna be the one to share your dreams
That I am not gonna be the one to

1. 2 hours ago Ok I'm sorry I didn't further explain this. He's my boyfriend of two years ,and not a stalker!!! He does tell me how he feels in his own words after all he is a songwriter musician. I was just asking you guys to see how you feel about the song and a connection to a guy saying it to a girl.
2. I'd love it! I'd think he really cares about me!
3. If he said he cherished me, I would be very happy!
4. Err I would tell him he needs to describe his feelings in his own freaking words. A guy can cite a song all he wants, all it means is that he knows some lyrics. Cool, but meaningful? Not so much!
5. sounds like a stalker that has that song embedded deep into his sick head!!!!!!!! Run for your life
6. I think that if you really pay attention to the words you would see that it is about control Id be careful
7. He adores you and wants you to feel the same. He is feeling like iyou will never feel the same. Beautiful Song!
8. Geez Louise...If that's what he said, he needs to get a better line. I would RUN from any guy who quotes a song from the 60's instead of saying what's in his heart.
9. its nice!
10. Very, very special. I've loved this song since I first heard it on the radio as a kid. The song is wonderful not just the words, but the tight harmonies of "The Association," that really carry the sentiment in an unforgettable way. That is really a sweet thing for a guy to say. I would be very touched and flattered.
