I have been told both ways. At the wedding ceremony do I have my engagement ring on, and my groom puts on the wedding band?

1. Wedding band first, then engagement ring.
2. wedding band closest to your heart. so you need the engagement ring off during ceremony and replace it behind the wedding band after ceremony wedding band then engagement ring. wedding band stays closest to your heart
3. The wedding band is put on first . this stands for marriage unending circle. then wear the engagment ring ontop since it was a promise to be marriedwas first
4. As far as I know, wedding ring is on left hand, engagement ring is on right hand.
5. It's up to you how you wear them. I wear my eternity ring first then my wedding ring and my engagement ring goes on the top because it looks best this way and is the most comfortable. Some people wear them the other way round, there's no right or wrong way.
I wore my engagement ring on my right hand on my wedding day so my husband could put my wedding ring on my finger and then I put my engagement ring back on after the ceremony.
