I asked this question with no success, so here we go...a much simpler version. I feel like my friend's kid acts weird around me. We've hooked up a couple of times and I think this might have contributed to this. His politeness and conversations with me feels forced rather than something he wants to do. If he can avoid me, he will. I'm a little hurt by this, because I just want us to be normal again. I feel like when he visits and he sees me there, he's like "Oh crap she's here." I don't get it!

4. What's not to get? Any parent-sex is gross to kids, and the fact that you two just "hook up" occasionally likely adds resentment to that natural "ugh" factor. Even if you didn't mean to, you and his parent have put him in a really awkward position. Just accept this, and try to sympathize with his situation. I bet if you put yourself in his shoes, any mystery about why he feels awkward around you will vanish instantly.
