I am 28 years old, single, straight, successful and educated. I have never had a girlfriend, although I have gone on a grand total of 3 dates in my entire life. I didn't (and still don't) really want to experience a relationship until I am at least 30. I also did not (and still don't) want to move out of my parents' house until I am at least 30 as well. I think that these decisions have allowed me, and will continue to allow me to finish my education (MA), get some needed job experience and find the career of my dreams in the end. Only then do I think that finding a woman is a good idea.Plus experiencing that later in life will be something exciting to look forward to that others would normally consider routine by that time in their lives. I can even look forward to my first kiss, which hasn't happened yet! And besides, most people don't even find real love until their 30's these days. 30 is the new 20, didn't you all get the message?

1. I think that you sound like a very reasonable, intelligent, and responsible man. A lot of men and women get married in their twenties with nothing to offer their mates. By you waiting and getting an education, you will have something to offer your family when the time comes. Its so many marriages that fail when they marry young because of financial reasons, inmaturity, having kids early or just because they weren't finish with experiencing their life. Your twenties should be a time to enjoy your life and to experience new things and new people. You're right because you will have a lot to look forward to when you get into your thirties and you won't have a bunch of regrets from your twenties. you can enjoy your thirties too but then you will be more mature and ready to settle down with the right person and by then you will know exactly what you want in a mate.
