My grandfather also told me that she sees a baby and talks to it because she may be hallucinating. What might this mean? Also when she was in the hospital she keeps saying that there is a little boy sleeping next to her but there isn't. I dont know what all this means?

1. First time seeing the elderly with an illness that is confusing and sad to see is difficult to accept. Her medicine or treatment may be causing the delerium--it might be something like dementia or alzheimers---the symptoms are serious and all you can do is wish her the best and support her. It is not easy to see family members going thru an illness--but that is life--we all age and can suffer from illness. Just visit and say HI and be supportive---hope for the best but plan for the wprst--again I say--this is life as we know it.Good luck and be strong
