I don't get it. I have this one friend who's been really down because he lost someone very dear to him. I've gone out of my way to be there for him and sacrifice any "fun" I could be doing other things to be there with him physically or online. Everyone else is like "Dude I feel sorry for him" and only try to cheer him up when they are forced to be around him (School).
So what's up? Is friendship so broken these days? Were there ever days when friends would always stick together like in those classic movies?

1. I'm wondering the same thing myself, hun. Seriously, I feel that everyone is running around with their own problems, so they don't have time to truly care about others as they should. I've lost a lot of friends the past two years due to this fact. You can only wear your heart on your sleeve, and give til you have nothing left before you start to realize if the one way friendship you are in is worth your time!
2. Maybe it is because they do not know what to say or they are afraid of saying the wrong thing. That does not mean that they can't be friends.
3. I know just wehre youre comming from I thinks its because people really do care, but they are afraid of sayiong the wrong thing. My sister has cancer, and people wont say anything. I think people just neexd to realize that there is no wrong thing to sya. And maybe if we were all open and honest with eachother and people didnt have to feel like idiots to express thier emotions, thing would be alot better.
And to answer your last question: I wish, that way, hope isnt all gone yet.
