This guy I used to know and kinda liked started sending me text msgs out of the blue, we been talking back and forth. and then he asked "if I ever wanted to date him." And "I said not really," then i asked if he wanted to date and he never responded. does this mean i ruined my chances with him? i only wanted to be friends but now i don't know what he wants.

6. If you told him that you did not want to date him, he has moved on to someone who does want to. Guys do not typically make "friends" with a girl - now there are exceptions, I admit, but I think you blew your chances of his dating you. He was (in his feeble way) feeling you out for a potential date and you shut the door. He may try again, but not likely. He sounds like a shy person, and a rejection (unintended or not) is likely to end in his going elsewhere for companionship. If you want to date the guy, clear up your language - if not, don't torture him. Good luck.
