My husband who normally buys cheap used cars all of a sudden bought himself an expensive Honda s2000.. It's a convertible.. He never wanted a convertible.. I did!
The thing is, HE is the one who left me (3 weeks after our wedding!).. I didn't want to seperate at all! There's alot involved and he's put me through hell! (read my previous questions to know what hell)
But I just recently moved the rest of my stuff out of our apartment to sort of use the last bit of levrage I had....In his mind it's over..And 10 days later he bought a new car!
He complains all the time that he has to pay the rent by himself now.. We haven't really talked at all since I moved the rest of my stuff.
He didn't even tell me he bought it! I found out on myspace!
So why did he do this? Is he trying to replace me? Trying to hurt me even more? Is he just putting on a front for all our friends?
Am I reading too much into this?
Please, I need to know why..

1. I didn't buy a new car.. I took hers... her boyfriend can drive her where she needs to go!

3. Maybe he did it for the same reason that women cut their hair after they get out of a relationship.
4. He's compensating for what he lacks elsewhere in his life hon. Somehow in his tiny little brain, he thinks a new car will entitle him to a new woman. What he should have gotten himself was a new personality. . .one with character.
5. I would imagine it's like a woman losing weight or going to a spa after a break up. He just needed a "lift" or an "ego boost" after a tough ordeal.
6. He can now get a girl much younger and better looking than you. This is an incentive to buy a cool car that is fun and exciting. A chick magnet. He will soon be bedding women that are far more fun than you and that is a good enough reason to get the best car he can afford.
7. He`s ready to move on. Let`s face it: not to sound shallow, but a guy in a new convertible car looks like he has money. That is an attraction for some women.He is already looking for a new girl.
He should not have married you if he didn`t feel like being married, it`s nothing that you did, it was in him all along. I had a friend who admitted to me , 2 weeks before his wedding that he was cheating on his wife to be for over a year, and had strong feelings for the other woman. I told him to call off the wedding and not break her heart. He went ahead anyways , and ironically they were done after three weeks and agreed to get an anullment.
He`s not trying to embarass you, he has already moved on and so should you. If you don`t let it go now, you will embarass yourself by all of the finger pointing and comments about how you have been victimized. The heck with him, you deserve better , and better is out there for you to find. You won`t accomplish anything unless you move on and forget about him. Hey, we all make mistakes sometimes, it`s whether or not we learn from them....
8. He got a new car so soon...because he wanted a new woman in his life.....you know how guys refer to their cars as a "she" or "her".....
