What is best way to make someone understand something?

What would you do?....if you wanted to make someone to understand (perhaps your partner or someone who is dating you....) How much you are angry at that person.... Is silence better than talking?

Answers:

1. talking it out is usually the best option

2. You can't make someone understand you. You can help them understand, but forcing someone to understand is futile. Communication is the key. Try it out, it works.

3. speak to them very slowly...

4. Talk to them and see if that help but if u dont wanna jus give a death stare write it down or hit them

5. Talking is best.

6. SHOUT VERY LOUD

7. No. Silence is worse. I would say what I have to say in the simplest, clearest way possible and leave it at that.

8. silence is not better than talking. talking is always better.

9. no tell them exactly what you feel in as calm a manner as possible... and try to explain it in as many ways as you can if they dont understand the first time

10. It's your call, follow your instincts.

11. The best way to make someone understand something is to ask them questions on what you are trying to explain to them.

12. You tell them what you are going to tell them. Then you tell them. Them you tell them what you told them.

13. Talk it over. Silence only makes things worse. Get your partner in a quiet area and tell them how you feel. If they don't understand it is hurting you or making you feel the way you feel, then take a break from them or leave them. I know from experience that saying your feelings is better than bottling them up and crying and feeling hurt and whatnot.

14. Silence is never better b/c some people don't really pick up on hints, and silence is a great way to escalate any situation. The best is to just get it out there in the open respectfully. I.E. "Hey it was really hurtful when you..." Otherwise you will stay mad and be waiting a long time for an apology.

15. Open communication is always best. You'll feel better too if you get something off your chest that is bothering you. Partners aren't always mind-readers and may not even be aware that anything is wrong. It's best to be open and straight-forward.

16. If you expect this relationship to last, you need to communicate even when you're angry. That doesn't mean to yell or scream at your partner, you need to wait until you can calmly discuss what upset you. You also need to understand that you may upset your partner with your statements. Relationships are a give and take, and unless you are communicating your needs and wants ... it isn't a healthy relationship. Talk to your partner.

17. While silence can convey a point, it cannot express precise opinion, emotion, or standing. Discussion, peaceful and specific discussion is the key.

18. just tell them,. tell them until they understand it well.. silence is worse coz u dont even know what is he/she thinking bwt..

19. Gee. Unless this person is the Amazing Kreskin and they can read your mind, you just may have to grow up and speak to them...out loud. Before you rip their head off saying things you will regret later, how about starting with this," I am feeling very angry right now about what has happened and I can;t talk about it at this moment because I am not thinking clearly and I don;'t want to say something I will later regret. After I have a chance to gather my thoughts, you and I need to sit down and discuss this situation." And no matter how much they push you to talk about it right at that moment, DO NOT if you are feeling too much anger. Ask for an hour, or a day and set up a time and place when you will be uninterrupted and when you can speak without rage. Then actually follow through and speak to them. If you need to, get out some paper and write down the things you need to say. Make sure you are framing this conversation about how what happened affected you, as in " It really hurt my feelings when you _________." Or " I am feeling very angry about ____________." Even if they were the biggest jerk in the world, if you plan on continuuing this relationship, you need to let this person know they have hurt you and that this is not something you will be giving a free pass for next time. By not speaking about this topic, you are gathering passive aggressive ammunition for a future fight. It never ends well if that's what you are doing by not talking. And as hard as this is to swallow- some realtionships are not meant to last forever not matter how much you wish they could.
