Im a 16 year old guy, and since about 6 months ago i was very often depressed, lonley, and didnt like myself. But then i met this really kind girl who has just made my life so much better. ive never had anyone i can call my "best friend", and i havnt really had anyone that i could talk to and they would actually listen and care about me. This person does care about me a lot, and i care about her because she has been the best thing thats happened to me in awhile. i can talk to her about tons of stuff, and we both do and love the same things. she has pretty much become my only close and best friend. When i think about it i just think how unnormal this must be. but am still so greatful for knowing her and being able to call her my friend.
Anyone else agree with me and think that this is just soo not normal experiance? (By normal i mean special) I think im just really lucky and special right no
Answers:
1. You just asked this. Congrats you're in love. 2 points nothing but net!
2. Thats normal i my girlfriend sounds like your friend...but a word of advice don't mess this friendship up...Because you never know she can be the "one".
3. Honestly, the highs and lows say a lot about depression. What would happen if your friendship ended? Would you be depressed and not like yourself again? Would it be worse this time? If the answer is yes, I would tell your parents how much this person means to you and that if you lost this person, you would be very depressed. I'm sure they love you and would want to know that you are going through this BEFORE anything happened. If something like that were to happen, please run to your Dr. sometimes men at your age go through a hormonal imbalance that could cause your prior depression and it is totally normal and can be treated, but only if someone knows. Otherwise I'm glad you found someone who lights up your smile...Good luck
