Like it said, i feel like i'm not going anywhere. All i do is work, suft the net, make out, and party sometimes.. I have 2 years of college done. But i have no idea where i see myself in 5 or 10 years, let alone 6 months. does anybody have any ideas of how i could get some direction, or even just have a goal or two i could be working on while i'm trying to figure out where life is talking me? Any help is great. thanks. i'm getting kinda desperate...

Answers:

1. i wouldn't worry about it. you're only 19

2. Well, stop 'making out' and find a meaningful relationship. Dedicate yourself to university and try hard. Think about what sort of job you would like to get and work towards that.

3. well you sorta do have a goal. the goal to find something to do for the rest of your life. try to find something that youlike to do so you don't have to work a day in your life

4. well I'm kinda in your same position. I mean, when you're between a rock and a hard place what are you to do? The main goal is to stay positive and just relax. As frustrated as you seem about your future, don't. Try to focus on things that you're passionate about doing. Like if you like to cook, sing, play in a band, volunteer work, design web pages or something and really just build on that. There's so many resources out there ready and willing to assist you in your future endeavors so go for it. Another thing you can do is talk to people who you trust that can maybe give you some advice or information on what you'd like to do. Motivation, positivity and an open mind is all you need, if you don't have that then you'll be stuck in first gear for the rest off your life. The sky is the limit! good luck.

5. Don't be desperate buddy. I know how you feel, as for I felt the same way when I was in college, even after I graduated (a year ago). First, I would advice you to take a close examination of yourself. 1. What are your weaknesses/strenghts? 2. What are that you ejnoy (even love) doing-even in your free time? 3. What are the things you are absolutely passionate about? 4. What are your fields of interests? Then examine the following questions that might relate you to your future workplace: 1. Would I be a good group worker? 2. Or: Would I do a better work if I worked alone? 3. How well do I cope with people around me? Even new ones I meet 4. How well do I handle difficult, or stressful sitations? 5. How well can I work under pressure, stress? These are some of the qustions that might help you find your right directions. Another thing you should try doing is meditation. Even though I have never really have done that in my life (on an occasional basis) it helps one find his strengths, weakness, and helps you to get to know yourself better, as well as make you an emotionally stronger, more confident person in every areas of life you may encounter with. Then search the web for jobs, or fields that you might be interested in! Take the time for it. It's important that you become aware of what certain job types and areas actually cover, for they help you get a better picture of what you might be good at, or what you might be happier with. Try some Google search with the keywords: jobs+descriptions Look up www.wikipedia.org for information about certain job types. Try the website of www.collegeboard.com. Or look up the website of http://www.studentsreview.com/salary.sht... It might be a good place to explore, but you can find other sites as well on Google. Good luck with your road search, I hope this little info helped you a bit, and good luck for you in whatever career path you choose to follow! Attila
