There's this guy in my Geography class that sits three rows in front of me (it's a HUGE class). I've never talked to them once during the semester. I know I don't have a crush on him, but I've heard from people that he's a pretty cool guy. I'm just a very shy person by nature, and I don't want to weird him out by just out of nowhere talking to him. And I don't want to go sit next to him leave my cousin who I always sit with in the back of the class. Is it wrong to want to talk to a person that you don't even know at all, much less have them not even know you either? And can someone please give me some advice on how to approach him without being obvious? I would really appreciate some kind advice.

By the way, I think I might be a little self-conscious because I don't really have many friends and I'm definitely not interested in having relationships at the moment. I guess all I really want is some friendship from him if that's possible.
