Age difference... please answer!?

ok... well... my "group" (i'm homeschooled... and no i'm not nerdy, all my friends are public and they cant even tell i'm homeschooled) doesn't date. we court.. and i like this guy (i've posted a questions asking if he likes me) and everyone says we are cute together or he likes me back. actually... my friend told me that he told her mother that he thought iwas really pretty and liked me. I dont date, so i cant date him. we kind of flirt (he is now homeschooled, he used to be in public), and he gives me a bunch of stuff. but... the only problem is... he is a little over 4 years older then me... I look and act like i'm 16 (someone asked if i was 18) but i'm younger.... what do you think?

He doesn't date either...

2. lol age doesn't matter. currently, you might be like "eww someone older than me, i must be perverted!!" no. most parents if you haven't noticed are SOMETIMES up to 10 or 20 years apart :o but lol usually 2-6 years. ur fine honey. hope all goes well.

3. age is just a number

4. I know your flattered by the attention but ask your self, why would some on almost five years older then you be interested in a girl of your age? No offense to you, I'm sure your a great kid but there has to be a reason why he's not dating girls his age....becareful and good luck1q

5. Sweetie, age doesn't matter. As long as you do not make a fool out of yourself, go for it.

6. I need more information on this one...I'm wondering exactly how old you both are? I definitely think that age doesn't usually matter when you are both consenting adults. However, I think when you are young, you both have some growing up to do and one of you will get there a lot quicker then the other.

7. If he is over eighteen then it is a big deal.

8. Well....you really haven't given us the age to work with...From the sound of it, you seem young...But he doens't sound over 18. Unless you want a long-term realationship..its ok if he's under 18.. But if you want a long-term relationship...I don't suggest starting anything with him because once he hits 18 things will become complicated in terms of society, parents, friends, the LAW, etc...

9. No, it doesnt matter at all. Keep going :)

10. I think you should listen to your parents, my children went to an amish school, we are not amish, but they were like homeschooled. it was very nice, I never encoureged dating while my children were in school.(grammer) when they went to high school (public) they occasionally dated, they are now ages 29 to 32 and all successful in their work, talk to your parents about dating, I'm sure they know whats best for you, and you will never regret it when you get older, believe me

11. Well, I used to date older guys because I too acted more mature than other teens in my age group. Gosh, I remember how dumb guys my own age seemed. Like you would say "hard" and "rod" in the same sentence and they would bust out in loud laughs and grip their sides. Older guys to me seemed more understanding and easier to get along with. In some ways deep down I might have even dated them because I saw a mentor in their personality traits. I am not going to put you down for this because I did the same thing and I understand where you are coming from. I would set your parent(s) down and explain to them that you are more mature than most young adults your own age, and you like this guy who is four years older than you (I believe that this is legal by the way!) and tell them why. Only you can make the right decisions for this, but remember, if you are mature and like older guys, one of your parents probably did too, and one of them will understand. Good Luck, and oh, you are not a nerd, because you would be calling me a nerd, because I was home schooled too. I think that is where you might be getting most of your maturity, and it gets better when you have time to learn away from the dramatics high school and middle school brings. Good job!!

12. Take it from me. Age does matter. I married an idiot 13 years older than me and he was an immature ******.
