My fiance and I were planning on a June wedding, but have been engaged for a year now and wanna move it up. So we decided on January 19th. What do you think is a good color for bridesmaid dresses and the vests and ties for the guys? I'm already thinking a dark maroon.. .NO BLUE OR GREEN.
ALSO.. What are good ideas for Brides maid and Groomsmen gifts?? I cant think of anything! My bridesmaids are my sister and best friend and another girl friend, and the groomsmen are just all friends of his.
SO my best friend drinks alot, my sister doesnt and is a hardcore christian like me along with my other bridesmaid, and all the groomsmen drink alot too.... SO WHAT DO YA THINK!?!

1. I like maroon. Deep plum is very IN this season and might also be nice.
I have no thoughts for gifts. It SO depends on your budget.
2. A deep purple color. Nothing too bright..since its in the winter.
For gifts, my soon to be sister-in-law gave us each a $50 gift certificate to the mall that we were going to get our hair and makeup done at and it helped pay for it.
I know my brother got in a wedding was an ingraved beer mug
3. red velvet is great. grey vets and red ties.
a silver picture frame for the gifts 5 by 7 and send a picture of the person all dressed for the wedding to put into it.
4. I personally love maroon. Even a dark red color would be lovely. If it is a more formal affair a nice champaigne color or rich brown would be awesome. I'll see If I can find any links to show you what I mean.
As for gifts for the bridesmaids and groomsmen, it depends on what you can afford, but Things Remembered is always awesome for personalizing anything from a small keychain to a shotglass for the drinker in the group or flasks for the men. I found a nice compact for the girls (on sale too!) that can be personalized. If you don't want to spend that much, maybe a $15 or $20 gift card (to help with whatever purchase they may want to make, but not outrageously expensive) to Victoria's Secret for the girls and maybe something like Brookstone or Sharper Image for the guys.
Another way to go about the gifts is to get something that they all can wear for the wedding. Maybe get all the girls matching necklaces or earrings or bracelets and get the guys all some cufflinks with a cool design on them.

5. i love maroon!! great choice for that season. choices you can also go with in the same family is like chardonay and wine. all are very beautiful colors and really easy to find. and the good thing is the burgandy family goes great against the white..im sure you will make a great choice either way..
as far as the gifts..since you are a christian like me...yay..lol..you can go to your local christian book store and get gifts there for your attendents. they have a great variety of choices and they can even special order, thank god for that..well good luck and congradulations!!! god bless
6. I think that would be a good color or maybe a champagne color or a light brown....... You should get the bridesmaids some lotion and like bath soap and stuff or maybe even candles..... get the groomsmen some gift cards to one of their favorite places to eat!!!!!
7. Well...for our groomsmen we gave moneyclips with their name engraved on it... and for bridesmaid, a necklace with a pendant with their name written on rice..
