I recently met up with two friends who are more like mentors to me. They are both about 25 years older than me. One friend is a woman. The other friend is a man.
My female friend was totally ok with the idea of me dating a 45 year old man (I am 30).
My male friend was not totally ok with me dating anyone that much older than me and suggested I date someone much closer to my age. (like within 5 years)
I have noticed that my female friends are far more accepting of me dating older men than my male friends.
Why is that???
Answers:
1. Your guy friends are probably jealous that you've chosen a guy "above" them in a sense, in terms of age, experience etc.
2. ask your friends, they will tell YOU!!!
but if dat was me i wont even care how they feel or say!!!!
if you really love this guy then you wont to..
3. I say its because women look at dating as a new adventure when they are older. But when a man is older, they are in the reverse role now. Pretty much being like women, and wanting something much more serious or they just want someone young and fun too. So either way ya look at it your male friend probably doesn't want you to get hurt, by this guy. Which is very reasonable as guys at times can be after one thing, at any age. Be safe and try a bit of causal dating with this guy, but if it gets to be too much break it off for your own good.
