I've been chatting for 7 years and can't make amends with an old flame. So I left chat 12 times over the years, or chatted in a different room with a different crowd. That's hard because I miss my old chat pals.
A few weeks ago I started chatting again with my old crowd and now when the old jerk comes in, I don't say anything to him. It will just turn into a fight, so I talk to my other friends. He sits there not talking, then logs off. The other night he sent a private message telling me how it's so funny that I "can't seem to stay away" from him.
He's forgetting that I did stay away, several times over the course of the last few years. Or I'd look for his name, and log off if i saw it. Can't he do that now?
Why should I have to keep leaving? Am I nuts to keep going back, even though I have old friends there?
Is it worse to ignore someone rather than fight with them? I have no interest in trying to get along. I've tried it dozens of time and it just ends in war.

2. you are not indebted to have or continue a relationship with this person. The nice thing about chat is: you don't have to respond!!! make that your practice and he will soon forget all about you.

7. It's unfortunate that he can't seem to stay away from you, but keep rebuffing his advances firmly & politely and ask him to not bother you. Block him if you can, and point out that you're not there to chat with him, you're there to chat with your friends.

10. Maybe I just don't get it, but ignore him and any private messages from him. Why do you let people drive you away from something you enjoy--just don't dialog with them, if that's possible.
11. Ignore him, the fact that he send you messages saying that you can not keep away shows he has no class or self respect cause if he did he would not lower himself when he know you don't want to talk to him. You could always report him!!!

12. why wouldn't you just put that name on ignore? I do that all the time and never see the person again.
